Breaking Morning News: Single-vehicle collision in Orange County kills driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Orange County this morning that resulted in the death of the driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 4:46 am, a 2018 Chrysler 300 driven by a 42-year-old Chuluota man was traveling southbound on Fort Christmas Road.

The driver was traveling above the posted speed limit, failed to negotiate a curve, and ran off the roadway. As a result, the vehicle struck a stop sign, trees, and a wire fence and then began overturning.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene.

The crash and the exact time of the crash remains under investigation

The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the crash.
