Breaking Morning News: One dead, four injured after a three-vehicle collision in Marion County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle collision in Marion County this morning that resulted in the death of a passenger.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:15 a.m., a 40-year-old Reddick man driving a van was traveling west on Marion Oaks Manor, approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Marion Oaks Blvd.
At the same time, a second van driven by a 25-year-old Ocala man was traveling south on Marion Oaks Blvd and had the right-of-way.
A third vehicle, a sedan driven by a 41-year-old Ocala woman, was traveling east on Marion Oaks Manor and was stopped for a stop sign on the southwest quadrant of the intersection.
As the vehicles approached, the first van ran the stop sign and struck the second van's left side with its front section at the first area of collision. The second van was redirected while rotating and struck the left side of the sedan with its right side at the second collision area. The rear passenger in the second vehicle, a 28-year-old Ocala man, sustained fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
All other vehicle occupants sustained minor injuries and went to area hospitals for treatment.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers or the passengers involved in the collision.
