Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision this morning in Flagler County that resulted in an 80-year-old pedestrian being hit and killed by a sport utility vehicle backing out of a driveway.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 8:38 am, a sport utility vehicle driven by a 78-year-old Palm Coast woman backed out of a driveway and struck an 80-year-old Palm Coast man, who was pronounced deceased on scene.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or pedestrian involved in the collision.
